Online Clinical Orientation

Regulatory agencies require that employees and ANY individual providing patient care in healthcare facilities review specific content related to safety and professional healthcare practice annually to maintain compliance with regulatory mandates and insure overall quality patient care. The clinical facilities and schools of the StudentMax Connection use an online orientation program developed by the Total Clinical Placement System (Learn more about TCPS℠). This content provides the required general orientation content that is foundational to all healthcare practice.

How to get started!

Let's get started by first making sure your computer is set up to use the program. Review the Technical Notes, and then click on the link below. You will need the Content User ID and Password provided by your Instructor or School to access the program - both are case specific! Further instructions related to navigation of the system will be presented there!

Technical Notes: This site is best viewed using Internet Explorer 7 or higher or Mozilla Firefox 4 or higher. Mac users should use Firefox and NOT the MAC Safari browser for optimum performance and full access to all components. This site is not compatible with the iPad. Some content is presented using Adobe Acrobat Reader and FLASH which is available on most computers. Free Plugins for these browser add-ins is provided below. The site also has popup windows and other javascripts to create interactivity. Please allow this content when prompted. Prior to taking the quiz, make sure that your PRINTER is ready to print to ensure that you have a copy of your completion certificate.
